- Istle Fibre
- ISTLE FIBREA fibre obtained from the leaves of several species of plants growing wild in the deserts of Northern Mexico and commercially known as Tampico hemp. They are very coarse and strong and used for brush bristles, cheap cords and twines. The fibre is 15-in. to 35-in. in length, and somewhat gummy.
